No Ansatsu Kyoushitsu this week, due to the previously mentioned delays – the third episode has officially aired now though, so hopefully it’ll return to my lists with the fourth episode next week. 🙂
1 – Durarara!!x2 Shou ep 4 (↑ 1)
2 – Parasyte -the maxim- ep 16 (↑ 1)
3 – Death Parade ep 4 (↑ 1)
5 – Shirobako ep 16
6 – Tokyo Ghoul √A ep 4 (↑ 3)
9 – Aldnoah Zero S2 ep 4 (↑ 1)
10 – Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! ep 4 (↓ 3)
More action in this week’s Tokyo Ghoul √A! Amon and Akira pay a visit to Ghoul interment centre Cochlea, to try and learn more about Aogiri Tree’s plans… coincidentally, Aogiri’s short-term plan at least is to raid Cochlea at that very moment, releasing dangerous Ghouls to presumably boost their own numbers, so multiple battles ensue. Kaneki spends most of the episode getting thrown around by a particularly strong Ghoul he refers to as Shachi, who seems confused by the fact he senses Rize in Kaneki. My main thought about this sequel is still ‘Kaneki, what do you think you’re doing!?’. 😛
Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! is starting to get a bit repetitive, as I feared it might. Every week a minor character at their school with some sort of insecurity is transformed into a monster, with abilities focused around said insecurity, but they’re soon ‘love showered’ back into normal, happier people. More than these battles, most of the entertainment (for me at least) comes from the Earth Defense Club’s debates and discussions in the first half of each episode, though even those could get predictable due to each character’s one-track mind (Io and profit, Ryuu and girls, Yumoto and cute etc). Still fun to watch, though!
Another series that’s sadly, inevitably getting a little repetitive is Yowamushi Pedal: Grande Road. Recent episodes have been very emotional, as one character after another sacrifices the last of their energy for the sake of their team, giving up on their own chances of crossing the finish line in first place. This week it was Naruko, who surprised everyone by sprinting as quickly uphill as he could on the flats, pedalling until he couldn’t even see anymore (I felt ill just imagining that). But when it was obvious long before the halfway point that Naruko would be dropping out, stretching this one development on for the whole episode didn’t make it stand out much. *is heartless, deal with it*
I’ve not mentioned Parasyte -the maxim- yet this season, time to fix that! Winter’s top series is still faring well against the newcomers, and this week’s episode was probably my favourite of this second half so far. FIVE parasytes coexisting in one body! 😮 And some of them seem to be picking up human expressions and mannerisms too. Makes me wonder how long Shinichi and his now often-fatigued partner will be able to resist these enemies, as things currently stand. These organised parasytes aren’t all co-operating peacefully, however… maybe Tamura Reiko will deal with most of them for Shinichi, now that they’ve chosen to eliminate her.
