Still alive!

It’s been a few weeks since I posted here, my apologies! I was at an anime convention (Minamicon) last weekend, and was busy preparing for said convention the week before. I’ve fallen behind significantly on my weekly anime, so have spent all my evenings catching up on that. And I’ve been really busy at work on top it all off.

How I felt yesterday before finally getting my first proper night’s sleep in over a week.

The convention was awesome – I met up with people that I only see once or twice a year, I entered at least one quiz each day (and was on the winning team for a couple!), attended panels on everything from beloved anime directors to bizarre Japanese commercials, and bought some good merchandise, though I miraculously spent less than I budgeted for. And I cosplayed, of course – photos to follow in a later post, once they’re finally uploaded!

Aside from that, I’m now watching Betterman, so may review that here once I’m finished for the benefit of the people who voted for that in my poll back in January. The game reviews will continue. And I’ll be sure to share my end of season anime thoughts in late March/early April, depending on when most things have ended (for the first time ever, 13th episodes will be taken into account!) I just need another week to get things back on track first. 😛

Glad to see you’re watching Betterman 😉 It truly is one of the most bizarre and disturbing series I’ve ever watched, yet it manages to have a really engaging story (although the artsyle is kind of an acquired taste and I could definitely have done without some crappy humor here and there but, oh well, that’s anime I guess)

    • I’d say that the artstyle is the series’ main draw for me right now 😛 Though the directing, dark colours and music are also fantastic, definitely helps to create a creepy atmosphere. Plot-wise, I’m struggling to follow what’s going on, and the characters haven’t grown on me yet either, but I’ve only watched 4-5 episodes at the moment.
