AngryJellogation – 5 Questions

August 19, 2012

Over the past few days I’ve seen quite a few of these Aniblogger Interrogation posts on the blogs I frequent, and tonight I finally had the honour of being tagged in one myself by Caraniel (whose blog I so nearly beat in that tourney a few months ago ). For anyone who hasn’t come across this latest chain game yet, or who is simply confused by my post title, here are the rules:

New Theme!

February 15, 2010

I made a banner from the first pic that came to hand like Cara suggested, and it didn’t fit with the theme I’ve been using up to now. Which is a shame, as I liked that theme, but then I also liked this banner. So after a good 30 minutes of previewing the many (mostly hideous) themes available, I found this one which I quite like. Nice soft colours, and none of the weird automatic caps-to-lowercase rubbish that the other one had going on. It’s nice to be AngryJellyfish again, the lowercase ‘J’ was still annoying me over a week later…

Not much to say apart from that really, I slept through most of today. But if anyone has any more ideas of how I can improve this  blog (besides talking about more interesting topics – I would if my life wasn’t so uninspiring) then please let me know in the comments. 🙂

F words

Last night I heard my dog whining downstairs. Unusual, since he’d usually be asleep by that time. So I went down to see what the fuss was about, and it seemed the cat had taken over his bed. A good reason for distress if I ever heard one. It made me think of my own bed, and how we haven’t been spending as much time together as I’d like, due to anime and job searching currently taking priority in my life. And I decided there and then that things had to change. After all, you never know when you might end up losing YOUR bed…

Try using that as an excuse the next time you oversleep for something. I know I will.

Today was the second day of my Skills for Work course, and I didn’t get much of a chance to do anything else all day. So although the stuff we covered wasn’t quite as fun as yesterday, I’ll talk about it anyway.

One of the activities was called ‘How well does your brain work when you are stressed?’ A good question, I thought, can’t wait to test this out. Except that being in a nice, well lit, comfortably warm room with a cup of tea at your side isn’t the most stressful of settings TBH. The booklet included a load of optical illusions, which my supposedly stressed mind had no problems with. But there was one test that threw me completely – count the number of ‘F’s in the following text:

Having read that at least twice, I came out with an answer of “3”. If that’s what you got, go back and have another look. If not, apparently you’re a genius!
