Only eight series ended this week, which means this will be one of the shortest end of season posts I’ve written in a long time! There are almost enough series left on the list for a Week 13 post, but given how far I am behind on anime after going away for the weekend, and given that the new shows start airing imminently, I think I’ll leave the Summer season here as usual.
Once again we have reached the penultimate week of the season, and barely anything I’m watching is continuing into the Autumn – I think it’s just JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure?
Hopefully most of the others will end next week, so I’ve got more to talk about in my big end of season post… which will be delayed by the way, as I’m not around next weekend.
Not much to say this week; few big jumps and drops, and most of those are just returning to their old positions. No early endings or recaps, and no rush in order to get the post out on time because I’ve not been anywhere. Everything is as it should be~
I just about managed to catch up, though it took a couple of late nights to do so!
I had hoped that watching all 19 episodes in the space of three days would make comparisons easier, as they were all pretty fresh in my mind, but instead I found myself getting them mixed up with the Week 8 episodes I marathoned only a few days beforehand. Hopefully that won’t have too much of an impact, as I read a few episode summaries and skimmed back through some episodes just to make sure…
I forgot to mention in my previous blog post that I was going away for a long weekend, without internet, hence this post’s long delay. Hopefully Week 9’s post will be on time, but that all depends on whether I can catch up with everything…
Catching up was made slightly easier this week by the fact that 91 Days aired a recap episode, and with one of the others in my lineup coming to an end entirely, I’ll have one less thing to watch going forward as well.
As everything aired this week as normal, I’ve dropped a second series to get my list back down to the usual 20. This series was the disappointingly repetitive Shokugeki no Souma: Ni no Sara. While there are still series in my lineup that survive despite scoring lower on average, at least they’ve managed to find new ways to be bad each week. 😛
Unfortunately, my call for series recommendations in the comments went unanswered. Fortunately, my forum buddies pulled through in the end. And so, I’ll be adding Mob Psycho 100 and Thunderbolt Fantasy to my lineup~
As Cheer Danshi!! was recap this week, and isn’t on my list as a result, I’ve only dropped one series for now to keep the number at a round 20… which fairly obviously ended up being New Game! A second series will be dropped next week, assuming nothing else takes airs recap episodes.
