This time, it was Seikaisuru Kado‘s turn to take a break, leaving me with only 19 episodes to watch once again. If this continues, I’m going to have to find a new hobby to fill all the extra spare time. 😛
It’s week six, and the series that I’m dropping from my lineup… don’t include Alice to Zouroku. That just didn’t air this week. No, the shows I’ve dropped are far more predictable: Sagrada Reset for being unbelievably boring despite its great premise, and Hinako Note because the scarecrow thing and lack of acting were getting very dull.
Replacing them will be Fukumenkei Noise and Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism, but more on them below~
Same old Top 4, but the battle for the ever-changing 5th place rages on! The bottom of the lineup seems to have stabilized too, which will make it a lot easier to decide what (if anything) to drop next week~ Do let me know in the comments if you have any Spring series suggestions not currently in the list that you think I might enjoy. 🙂
One third of the way through the season and, although there’s not much separating them, my top 4 seems to have stabilized! Hopefully we’ll see some movement before long, as these posts could get quite boring otherwise… moreso than usual, I mean. 😛
Now that I’ve settled into my new watching schedule, I find that although most of the new episodes come out in one go on Friday/Saturday, I’ve got at least one to look forward to each day of the week, which is nice! 😀
Round 2 of the Spring season first episodes yielded three long-titled fantasy series worthy of my list: Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii Desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii Desu ka? (SukaSuka from here onwards), Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darouka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria (Danmachi Gaiden: Sword Oratoria from here onwards) and Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho (…just about short enough to leave as it is). The rest either weren’t my kind of thing, or lacked reliable simulcasts, so to round things up to 20, I’ll be giving the previously rejected Clockwork Planet another chance as well.
Here’s how they fared compared with last week’s lot:
New season, business as usual… for the most part. This Spring has decided to be awkward in a lot of ways. Since several really interesting-looking shows are still to air in the coming week, my lineup for now sits at *just* 16 series. I hope to increase it to 18 or (more likely) 20 for Week 2, so if you only usually check my first posts to see what I’m watching, be sure to come back next week as well! In the unlikely event that all the late airing shows disappoint, I do have some reserves in mind out of those I’ve so-far dropped.
Further awkward-Spring season clarifications: The ranking for Berserk (2017) is for the first episode only, despite the double airing. I’m fine with being one week behind, and if an episode doesn’t air at any point in the future then I’ll be back up to date. The ranking for Seikaisuru Kado is for the first episode as well, not ‘episode zero’, whatever that is. The rating for Alice to Zouroku is for the full double-length first ep – despite my attempts to keep everything to one ~20 minute episode per post, I’m not so stubborn that I’d cut it in half. 😛 And as ever, I’m restarting the numbering for any sequels at 1, regardless of whatever the official episode number is.
