And finally, to wrap up my 2021-related content, here are my top 12 series from last year! Featuring series from Winter, Spring and Autumn… plus a few honourable mentions, mostly so that Summer isn’t completely left out. 😛

But first, the winner of this year’s honourary Jellyfish Inclusion Award is Shiroi Suna no Aquatope!

Autumn 2021 End of Season Rankings

10 days into the new year already! I’ve already picked up half my lineup for the Winter 2022 season, but first, let’s wrap up last year’s series lists before I forget what they were all about!

As usual, this list only includes anime that both started AND ended within the season… so with my mid-season #1 pick Ousama Ranking gone, which series will come out on top?

2021 Anime – Top 12 ED Themes

You’ve had my Top 12 opening themes of the year (they’re here, if you missed them) – now it’s time for the ending themes! I often prefer these to the OPs, they’re usually slower and more sombre… though not always, as a few of my picks should prove.

As for the content in between the themes, that list is very much dependent on how the last few Autumn episodes pan out, so will likely have to wait a few more weeks. 😛

Autumn 2021 Mid-Season Rankings

This list took quite a lot longer to put together than expected, to the extent that I forgot to go back and write an intro when I was done. To anyone who read this before my update, I am aware it’s Autumn (though it feels more wintery each day), apologies for any confusion!

Summer 2021 End of Season Rankings

Despite my initial pessimism about the Summer season, there ended up being quite a few good shows, though none that really stood out. Despite this, I’m going to try and rank them as usual, but there’s really not much separating the top half.

Summer 2021 Mid-Season Rankings

Despite my past grumbles about how much better Spring’s series were, I still managed to scrape together a full anime lineup for the Summer season! So here we go again, ranking time!

Spring 2021 End of Season Rankings

We’re only a few days into the Summer anime season, and I’m already missing the Spring – the new lineup looks so small and mediocre in comparison, with a couple of exceptions. Check back in mid August to see if I still feel that way six weeks in! 😛

For now though, time to look back at what I just finished~ The lineup is the same as for my mid-season rankings, minus the three that are still ongoing (Tokyo Revengers, My Hero Academia, and To Your Eternity).

Spring 2021 Mid-Season Rankings

Spring 2021 has been a fantastic season for anime! Quite short on sequels too, meaning that I was able to load up on more all-new series than normal. 😀 Here’s what I’m watching, and what I think about them:

Winter 2021 End of Season Rankings

Here are my thoughts on all the anime series I picked up last season – lineup is exactly the same as for my mid-season thoughts, except that I left out Hataraku Saibou!! due to it finishing only a week later. All content I’m already familiar with from the manga, so I have nothing to add.
