AngryJellyfish’s Top 10 Anime of the 2010s!

The 2010s was a good decade for anime! Of course, for every amazing show there were several terrible ones, and a whole lot more which were just average and forgettable… but this post isn’t about them. These were the best of the best, the ones I’ll definitely make time to revisit at some point during the 2020s.

I’ve opted for a Top 10 rather than the usual 12 – just feels right. 😛

It seems that all I post on my blog these days is lists… I’ve thought about writing other things, but gave up before starting each time – they just made me feel so listless.

*silence*

Well, now that I’ve got that out of the way, here’s my Top 12 anime of the whole year! And this time, I’m only ranking series that FINISHED this year, as opposed to shows that started this year as I did in the past. Expect a bit of overlap with 2012’s list as a result, though the second halves (and particularly the endings) of those Autumn anime really changed my opinions of most of them, hence the rule change this year. 🙂

Autumn 2013 Episode Rankings – Week 12

Week 12! I’ll be ending my Autumn rankings here, but will continue as always with the Winter 2014 season in a couple of weeks. 🙂

Down to just 16 series at this point – as well as the shows that have ended (NouCome and Galilei Donna), Samurai Flamenco will be taking a short break… leaving the #1 spot open for the taking!

Kill La Kill has probably been the most consistently good series of Autumn 2013.

Week 11, and back down to 18 series! I have a few days off between now and the end of the month for Christmas, which I’ve been using to marathon older anime series in an attempt to clear my backlog and start a whole load of new ones in the new year! Does mean I’m spending less time blogging and watching this season’s shows, but better late than never~

That’s what I’d like to know!

2013 Anime – Top 12 OP Themes

Another winter, another end of year Top 12 list~ Starting as ever with the anime opening themes that have entertained me the most, both at the start of the episodes themselves, and often as songs in their own right in my music library. 😀 Links to the OP videos will be in the titles, at least until Youtube takes them down or mutes them. 😛

Ga-Rei Zero isn’t a 2013 anime, but I liked the pic. And I do still play the OP a lot.

Week 9! My first blog post of December 2013. Usually I’d have started my end of year ‘Best of’ lists by now, and I do intend to do them… hopefully before 2014 sneaks up on me!

Autumn 2013 Episode Rankings – Week 7

Week 7! It’s starting to feel like Winter here, and the temperature in my bedroom is averaging at about 9°C… Best keep typing, in case my hands freeze~

No Kyousougiga TV this week – I did watch and enjoy the live-action tour of Kyoto, but ranking it as though it was a regular anime episode would be silly. It’ll be back next week, though!
