Well it was the popular option in the comments, and probably the series I had the most nostalgia for, but even then I decided to choose my next series by dice roll as I often do. Having an element of randomness keeps things interesting. But still, from a list of SIXTEEN series, Slayers Next emerged as the winner, and will be the next complete series I start watching!
Just a short message to say, as I currently have no internet access at home, my Week 12 rankings post will be delayed until everything’s back to normal… as long as it doesn’t get ridiculously late, in which case I may have to move on to other things. I’m not going to even be able to watch the final episodes for at least a week, let alone post about them. 😦
My Top 12 anime of 2015 list will also be delayed, but will definitely happen.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, everyone~
I had an awesome time at Reading, and came away with a tonne of manga – Zombie Fairy, Glass Wings, Flower of the Deep Sleep vol.1, The Flowers of Evil vol. 1, Psyren vols. 1-5 and Spice & Wolf vols. 1-6, in case anyone was interested. More on those in a future post, I’m sure.
But for now, I won’t be posting anything much, after returning home to sub-dialup internet speeds. I can’t even load my blog at home, right now I’m in the library! So yeah, I’ve suddenly got a huge anime backlog and no way of clearing it. 😦 I don’t know what’s causing the problem this time, or how long it’ll take to sort out, but don’t expect me to post for a while… then expect a barrage of posts sometime next month as I try to catch up. 😛
Well, I lost. No surprise there. What did surprise me was the amount of votes I was given – 113, almost 42%. While I lost by a good 44 votes, my battle against Cara was the closest in a group of one-sided matches. So a big thank you to everyone who voted for me!
On April the 4th, a week after one of the hottest days of the year, my phone line was brought down in a strong blizzard which I assumed was an April fools joke when I heard the forecast three days before. This took out my phone and internet. We were quick to report the problem, and BT were quick to respond, saying they’d fix it within four working days. The problem is, working days are in short supply over Easter… so it ended up being seven days overall. And then I had a power cut the morning after it was fixed, just to troll me further.
