Autumn 2015 Episode Rankings – Week 11

It’s almost the end of the season, and of the year… I’m impressed, for once none of my lineup have skipped a week or done anything else to mess up the numbering, which makes life easier. 😛 Here’s hoping they don’t start now, as I don’t like delayed endings.

One series has done the opposite, by ending a week early; for the others, I’ll focus mostly on shows that are unlikely to end in Week 12, since I’ll be covering all the ones that do in my next post.

Autumn 2015 Episode Rankings – Week 6

It’s week 6, and it’s time to finally say goodbye to the two shows that haven’t budged from the bottom of my rankings. Lance N’ Masques was a mess, and the preview for the 6th episode promised hot springs hijinks – not the best way to try and win me over at the last minute. 😛 Concrete Revolutio was far better, on paper at least, with decent production values and a potentially interesting storyline… but for whatever reason, it didn’t grab me at all, and there’s no point keeping on a show I’m not enjoying.

So far, so predictable. But what not even I could have predicted this time last week was that I’d end up adding FOUR series to my lineup to replace them. 😮 What are these shows that initially impressed me less than Lance N’ Masques, but that turned out to be kinda good second time around? Read on and find out~

And so ends the Bishamon arc, which was amazing once it got going. I hope Noragami’s ratings don’t slump too much now it’s over!

2012 Anime Harem!

As it’s something of a tradition at this point, I present my anime harem of 2012! A chance for me to show some appreciation for a small sample of my favorite anime characters of the year. In a lot of cases, characters can be more important in deciding my favorite series than the plot itself, while in others they have proven to be a show’s sole redeeming factor. So, making the list this year are:

Shining Hearts: Ending of Disappointment Episode 12

I’ve really taken procrastination to a whole new level with this one, haven’t I? It’s been, what, six weeks since it ended? I struggled to motivate myself to rewatch this episode, partly because it was so boring, but mostly because I knew full well that anything I might write about it would be even worse than the rubbish I write about half decent episodes.

However, I’m a completionist. I can’t just forget that I was ever following this series. I have to write SOMETHING! I deliberately ended my 11th episode post with the promise of a conclusion, because I was determined to see it through. Otherwise, the fact that searching for Shining Hearts on my blog only brings up 11 posts would continue to annoy me. 😛 So a warning to all readers: this post is largely to satisfy my own mind. You don’t have to read it!

Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan Episode 8

Le Coeur bakery finally has its oven back, and demand for bread is soaring! So much so that the delivery orders were too much for Neris to handle alone, so I, Rick, decided to help out by delivering half of them myself. Time seemed to fly by with the two of us working together, until only two deliveries remained. Neris headed off towards the tool shop, while I handled Flora’s Bar.

Once more, I make myself available to work for nothing for a set time period, and it doesn’t go according to plan – I’m no longer volunteering at Deudraeth Cyf, after the company found themselves too busy working on various projects all over the county to focus on giving me something to do. Ah well, at least I didn’t get fired this time…

So now that I have all the free time in the world again, I present my slightly overdue post for episode 6 of Shining Hearts… in the form of edited screen caps… because I can. I may start using these visible captions instead of invisible ones in all future posts. 🙂
