My week 10 anime rankings post is currently waiting on last week’s episode of Bakuman, but as I’ve gotten into the habit of posting here every weekend, I thought I’d use this as an opportunity to talk about manga instead.

It’s been a while since my last ‘recent purchases’ post, and it’s not as though I haven’t bought anything new in that time. 😛 I don’t believe I’ve mentioned the new bookshelf I got for Christmas here either, that’s helped me out a great deal with the shelf space issues I complained about in earlier posts! I’ll probably need another one next year, though…

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 13

Here it is, the final weekly rankings post for the summer season! A few of these shows are continuing through Autumn, and no doubt I’ll continue to be miles behind on them, but the majority are finishing on these thirteenth episodes.

Do not adjust your monitor, or turn it upside down… I have proofread this post. My rankings are in the correct order with regards to how much I enjoyed each episode of each series this week. They’re just a little… unexpected.

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 12

So now we’re three weeks and a day late… blame the start of the new season, as I’m multitasking trying to get both the last episodes of Summer and the first episodes of Autumn at once. 😛 Week 12 is the penultimate summer episode rankings post – I’ll do week 13 this time despite there only being nine series running that long. I have no plans for Autumn rankings though, I’ll finish what I’ve started then leave it at that until I have a stable connection again.

With so many series ending this week, I’ve decided to focus specifically on them in both the screencaps and the general comments. 🙂

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 11

FINALLY, I have finished a couple of summer series! Even if it is only the 11 episode long noitaminA shows… but ah well, now that I’ve posted this, I can move on to the season’s 12th episodes, and finish a further five series!

As for the Autumn season, which is now in its early stages, I’ve managed to get hold of a couple of new first episodes, but I’m unlikely to pick up much unless my internet situation is sorted out quickly. Better to keep up to date with two or three anime than to fall two or three weeks behind on sixteen anime. 😛

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 10

A new broadband router arrived in the post this morning. The engineer we had around a couple of weeks ago said this would fix the speed problem. It hasn’t. It’s now looking highly likely that these issues will continue into the Autumn anime season, limiting my viewing and making my days off from work far more boring than they should be.

This is proving disastrous from a blogging perspective. If it was only the fact that my posts are late, it wouldn’t be so bad… it’s the fact I can’t read other people’s blogs out of fear of spoilers that’s really cutting me off. I’ve still not finished ANY of this summer’s series. Still, I’ll keep posting for want of anything else to do on a Wednesday. 🙂

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 9

Slow internet speeds persist… but on the positive side, it seems I can at least manage weekly posts again.  Also, now that most of the series I’m following have come to an end, I can’t fall any further behind on them than I already am. 😛

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 8

Two weeks of slow internet hasn’t been fun, and to make matters worse, nobody knows quite what’s causing the problem! Which is why when my speeds suddenly sextupled a couple of hours ago, I decided not to ask any questions and simply make the most of it, as who knows how long it’ll stay this way?

So, here’s my rankings of the season’s 8th episodes… coming out at a time when most people will be watching 10th and 11th episodes… but ah well. Ranking has been particularly difficult this time, as I watched some of these episodes (e.g. Yuru Yuri) pretty much as they aired three weeks ago, while I only managed to get hold of others (e.g. Eureka Seven AO) this morning! Leaving me no choice but to rely on my memory and skimming through eps in order to decide which ones I liked best. 😛

Delays~

I had an awesome time at Reading, and came away with a tonne of manga – Zombie Fairy, Glass Wings, Flower of the Deep Sleep vol.1, The Flowers of Evil vol. 1, Psyren vols. 1-5 and Spice & Wolf vols. 1-6, in case anyone was interested. More on those in a future post, I’m sure.

But for now, I won’t be posting anything much, after returning home to sub-dialup internet speeds. I can’t even load my blog at home, right now I’m in the library! So yeah, I’ve suddenly got a huge anime backlog and no way of clearing it. 😦 I don’t know what’s causing the problem this time, or how long it’ll take to sort out, but don’t expect me to post for a while… then expect a barrage of posts sometime next month as I try to catch up. 😛

Summer 2012 Episode Rankings – Week 7

The Olympics are over, and we’re back to the usual 16 series! 🙂 Also, I’ve changed most of the series links from MAL to A-P (my personal preference), as the site actually has a synopsis and screenshots up for most of this season’s anime by now!

Delays in posts and general inactivity are likely between this Friday and next, as I’m making my annual trip to Reading, and won’t have internet access – I actually get back on Tuesday, but I’ll have a lot of episodes to catch up on first! I am hoping to pick up and read a lot of manga while down there, though. 😀

Update – AngryJellyFails Again!

On April the 4th, a week after one of the hottest days of the year, my phone line was brought down in a strong blizzard which I assumed was an April fools joke when I heard the forecast three days before. This took out my phone and internet. We were quick to report the problem, and BT were quick to respond, saying they’d fix it within four working days. The problem is, working days are in short supply over Easter… so it ended up being seven days overall. And then I had a power cut the morning after it was fixed, just to troll me further.
