Poll: Help me choose a series for my Autumn 2023 lineup!

It’s that time again – a new anime season is just around the corner, and I’m looking for help to decide what to watch weekly.

I’ve already narrowed down the anime I most want to watch this autumn to 11 series, a number that’s always in danger of rising the more I look over the various chart and listing sites! But, I definitely have room for a 12th. Here are three that didn’t quite make the cut – vote for your favourite, and the winner will join my lineup!

Summer’s poll winner Synduality Noir has been a lot of fun, and I’ll definitely be watching Part II in 2024!

Summer 2023 Mid-Season Rankings

As July approached, all the weekly anime I had been watching ended at once, leaving me with a completely empty schedule. I looked at the charts giving details of what new series I could replace them with… and was knocked back at how mediocre Summer 2023’s anime offerings looked, aside from a small number of big sequels. ‘Maybe I should cut down my list to 8 or 10, and focus on my gaming backlog instead’, I thought to myself.

‘Nah, I’ll just stick to the usual 15 series. What’s the worst that could happen’?

Spring 2023 End of Season Rankings

Here are my final thoughts on last season’s anime; quite a few changes to the rankings this time, and a couple of new entries too!

Nothing here is continuing into the summer, so expect a completely different mid-season list in just over a month~

Since I’m still waiting for a few Spring series to end before I can post my final thoughts, and since the last poll went well, here’s another!

I’ve narrowed down the anime series I most want to watch this Summer to 14 series, and expect to start a few this weekend. But, here are three more that didn’t quite make the cut – I don’t have time to watch them all, but vote for your favourite, and the winner will join my lineup!

Spring 2023 Mid-Season Rankings

DAMN, this is good anime season. Unlike Winter, where I made a picked up a few dodgy, middling series, so far everything I’m watching this Spring is at least ‘good’. Here’s my full lineup, and what I think about them, starting with an unexpected title in last place:

Enough procrastinating, here are my very belated final thoughts on this Winter’s anime. A lot of great series, but it’s amazing how quickly I start to forget things once a new season begins!

I’ve managed to post once a month for the last 13+ years, and I’m not going to stop now! But the Winter season hasn’t quite ended, still waiting on a few stragglers, and it’s been too busy a month with work and anime conventions for me to prepare anything else. So, for the sake of getting something out with a March 2023 timestamp, let’s have a poll! WordPress has changed how they work since my last one, so this should be interesting…
